ISMAIL HASHIM
Ismail has 20 years of experience in the field of training, having held several executive, management and senior management positions in the education and service industry.
He started his career in the Technical Education Division of the Malaysian Ministry of Education for eight years and then joined a private educational institution as a member of Senior Management. He was then appointed to head the Human Resources Division and was responsible for staff training and development. Before becoming a full-time training consultant, Ismail served as a Human Resource Training Coordinator at the central level for Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd.
He has conducted various trainings in the field of management, human resource development and quality divided into several areas such as - Organizational Development, Management Development, Executive Development, Supervisor Development, Support Group Development, Individual Development, Teamwork and Team Development, Training Needs Analysis and other related management skills.
He has been involved full-time in conducting training modules across the country in both the public and corporate sectors. As a consultant and trainer, Ismail has helped many course participants to use their potential through his training sessions. He is also a consultant who has been appointed to conduct training needs analysis for Small and Medium Industries (SMI) under the Human Resource Development Berhad (PSMB) scheme. He is one of the trainers for the Graduate Employability Management Program (GEMS), the Malaysia Training Scheme 1 (SL1M) and the Temporary Employment Apprentice Program (MYSTEP) run by Khazanah Nasional.
He holds an MBA in Total Quality Management from Newport University, USA and has received initial training in the field of mechanical engineering in the United Kingdom as well as professional training in the field of human capital management and development. He has attended the Certificate in Training and Development course from the Institute of Administrative Management, U.K. and a Certified Trainer with Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Bhd (PSMB). He is also an Associate Trainer for the Universiti Malaya Center for Continuing Education (UMCCEd), National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) and IIUM Center for Continuing Education (ICCE), International Islamic University.
